Revista Trabalhista Direito e Processo N. 57

Issue description

The deconstruction of Social Rights is the main focus of this issue of the Journal of Substantive and Procedural Labor Law, organized by ANAMATRA in partnership with LTr
Editora.

The choice of this topic stems from its inevitable and current importance: social security reform and labor reform point to this path of deconstruction in our country.

In this context, the study of certain topics, such as the prohibition of the principle of social regression, hermeneutic perspectives for ongoing reforms (the labor reform, currently already approved), the widespread possibility of collective dismissal, the greater difficulty in accessing justice, and even the current role that should be given to the Social Rule of Law, become particularly important at this critical time when Social Rights are under severe attack.

The reforms are progressing at a snail's pace, with little debate within the legislative branch. The Federal Senate has even effectively "abandoned" its constitutional role as a reviewing body for bills aimed at dismantling social rights.

Anamatra is intensely campaigning for all of these issues through the presentation of technical notes, the dissemination of videos, and information campaigns to raise awareness among the Brazilian working population.

However, the participation of all social actors working in the legal field is of fundamental importance. The texts published in this Journal were selected with this specific perspective in mind.

This issue of the Journal will provide readers with the opportunity to study these issues. And, as a heads-up, future issues will specifically address the reforms approved by the National Congress, notably Law No. 13,467/2017 (Labor Reform).

We invite readers to participate in this challenge. May the selected articles serve as a reflection for the future, with an eye on the present and the past.

Enjoy your reading.
