Issue description

Dear readers,

The Journal of Substantive and Procedural Labor Law, organized by ANAMATRA in partnership with LTr Editora, will address, in this issue, a topic of unique relevance in the current context of Brazilian society.

Technology, precariousness, and social protection are the central themes. In a globalized country, where people in general, and consequently, workers and their employers, interact
through increasingly advanced applications, the importance of labor law, the social protection it entails, and the potential worsening of the conditions faced by
its users in the world of work, is not only a compelling topic, but one that must be addressed.

The ANAMATRA Journal addresses precisely this new framework.

Topics such as the new proletariat of the digital age; the exacerbation of individualism in labor relations; social protection against the effects of automation; the protection of decent work through the impacts of new forms of labor and the use of these technologies; and digital platforms (Uber) and their impacts on the concept of employment relationships are all topics that have been extensively addressed in the articles rigorously selected by the Editorial Board.

This issue undoubtedly presents unique material on this world considered completely new. The impacts of teleworking, the use of artificial intelligence, and even access to employees' genetic heritage in the face of these new technologies have been carefully addressed.

In this issue, we intend to present important doctrinal and jurisprudential contributions, which we consider essential for the analysis of a topic that is taking on previously unimaginable proportions, especially due to the pandemic crisis experienced across the globe.

To our readers, we extend our invitation to participate in this important debate, both for its timeliness and for all it represents for all of us who deal with the world of work on a daily basis.

Enjoy your reading!
